Today's Topic:  Some might say that anxiety is THE malady of our hyper-connected always-on world.   But what if you find that your dog is suffering from anxiety as well, and more importantly, what can you do about it?  And what can we learn about how anxiety works in the brains of our dogs, and what medical and behavioral professionals do to manage that anxiety in our dogs, to figure out how we can manage the anxiety that many of us suffer from in our own lives?  That's why we've invited board-certified veterinary behaviorist and the owner and lead clinician at the Animal Behavior Clinic, Dr. Chris Pachel, to the pod, to discuss what a veterinary behaviorist is and does, the difference between fear and anxiety, whether anxiety stems from nature vs. nurture, why predictability, consistency and control are so vital when treating anxious dogs, and so much more!

Guest Bio: Dr. Chris Pachel is a board-certified veterinary behaviorist and is the owner and lead clinician at the Animal Behavior Clinic in Portland, Oregon.
